These candy bar buildings were inspired by the Chunky and Hershey candy bar brands. The idea for both of these buildings was to take the general shape of each piece of candy and then stack them in order to create height and dimension to the structure.
The Chunky Bar Building focuses on the shape, ingredients, and color of the original candy. The openings within each level replicate the shape of raisins, which is one of the defining ingredients of a chunky candy bar. The building is also made of an iron material to represent the chocolate that covers the candy.
The Hershey Bar Building focuses on the color of packaging, shape of individual pieces, and the repetitive pattern that is observed from a full Hershey's bar. The sleek silver exterior contrasts with the matte brown roof to replicate the color scheme of the original wrapper. the overlapping and uniform hatches that make up the architecture are a metaphor for the grid like pattern of the candy bar. The stacked levels represent the stackable individual Hershey candy pieces.
