Below is a project built of spinning spirals using the grasshopper and rhino software systems. The project was an abstract representation of different people's lives "intertwining" together.
The different timeline's below show the timelines of two best friends throughout life and their core memories are shown where the spirals intercept each other.
The different colored spirals represent the different emotions and characteristics of the to girls. the interlocking points show when the women shared an emotion or core memory together.
Above is a zoom-in of the core memories these two best friends share together, from playing outside together as girls to celebrating pregnancy as women.
Above is a plan view of the interlocking spirals and a highlight of the memories at the points of interception. The spiral also shows the spiral of time. The present day would technically be represented at the axis point where the spiral reaches the ground.
Above shows how the spiral would be represented from just an elevation perspective or on 2-Dimensional (X|Y plane). The left poster shows how the spirals interlock, and the points represent the moments shared together. The right poster shows the separate spirals of the two girls.
